Just before going full-time at a new company, I was commissioned to create character studies from the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie. Another cool one in the bag!
The process
Each and every character went through multiple revisions as each detail was carefully checked over by the client. A good example of the attention to detail shown, was for the Optimus Primal character; getting his face and expressions just right was a tricky challenge... comprising of a number of drawings, the final shapes and expressions were approved. All of the final illustrations were supplied to the client in 3/4 versions:
Black & white, 5 or 8 x colours & full renders.
